We don’t organize food or vendors, just porches and musicians. Some porch hosts invite food trucks or other vendors to sell from their properties, but that is all arranged and managed by individuals.
-
Modesto Porchfest is focused on residential porches. We love when businesses join in the day, but we don’t place bands or put businesses on the Porchfest maps.
-
We can’t endorse or host any events after 5 pm. Our permits and all Porchfest events stop at 5 pm. Please help us keep Porchfest going by ending activities in residential areas by 5 pm.

Accepted hosts and band are free to use the Porchfest Logo on flyers and posters advertising your band and porch.

#1 Tip the bands! Bring cash and many bands will have a QR code to Venmo.

Water, sunscreen, a small chair or blanket to sit on, and cash to tip the bands are all great things to have on hand at Porchfest! Make sure to check the maps for bathroom locations and have a plan for when you need to go!

We highly recommend parking outside of the boundaries and walking or riding a bike in the Porchfest zone. Another great option is to come in an Uber/Lyft. Many people like to rent/bring a golf cart. If you drive inside the boundaries, parking will be limited and there are bicycles and pedestrians everywhere so proceed with caution.
-
More and more golf carts are being used at Porchfest each year. These are not provided or endorsed by Porchfest organizers and are starting to disrupt the musicians. If you are on a golf cart, please be respectful of pedestrians and be mindful of your impact on the enjoyment of those who are listening to the music.

We will post a map and a schedule here on the website a week or two before Porchfest. You can print out the schedule, highlight your favorites (bands will have genres listed next to them), and try to get to as many porches as you would like!
-
Bathrooms will be open at the parks, and we will have porta-poties marked on our maps. Please do not ask our porch hosts to use their bathrooms. Some porches host food vendors or have water or lemonade available. You can visit a local restaurant or pack in your own.
